Using a Case Study Approach to Facilitate Seamless Integration of Domain 8 Competencies into Nursing Education

Abstract:  Failing to address informatics and health information technology competencies impacts the four spheres of care, systems-based practice, and evidence-based practice. The Domain 8 competencies are closely connected to, necessary and supportive of the other nine Essential Domains and must be threaded through all aspects of nursing education for practice in the 21st century.
